OPINION: GOP Full of ‘Weak and Ineffective’ RINOs

The political establishment never liked President Trump. You know it. I know it. They know it. And, he knows it.

For better or for worse, President Trump has always spoken bluntly. There’s no sugar-coating anything; he answers questions directly and is fond of colorful language that is often misinterpreted by an agenda-driven liberal media and his democratic opponents.

But, it’s not just the left that is offended by the President. He’s an equal opportunist when it comes to criticism — and, as such, quite often calls out members of his own party.

Tonight is one such night.

Just hours before the closing of the polls in Georgia’s runoff election, the President slammed GOP Sens. McConnell, Cornyn, and Thune calling them “Weak and ineffective” RINOs.

“I hope the Democrats, and even more importantly, the weak and ineffective RINO section of the Republican Party,” tweeted Trump. “Are looking at the thousands of people pouring into D.C. They won’t stand for a landslide election victory to be stolen.”

While the President’s claims for massive voter fraud have been rejected by many of the federal courts including the Supreme Court, the American public’s perception about the allegations of manipulated votes, including affidavits from witnesses in swing states, is now a growing problem. A problem that threatens any attempts to unite the country under a Joe Biden presidency.

Indeed, a significant number of voters do not trust the results of this election and that, in and of itself, is a massive problem that must be addressed. According to a POLITICO/Morning Consult survey, trust in the election system plummeted in November with 70% of Republicans saying they didn’t believe the 2020 election was free or fair.

As such, numerous Republican senators are now pushing for an investigation in an effort to appease the public and truly ensure that the results of the election are legit.

The Division Began in 2016: Dems Refused to Recognize Trump

One reason our nation is currently so divided, and so lacking in trust, is because too many prominent Democrats originally insisted that the Trump presidency was not legit. Hillary Clinton herself dismissed President Trump as an “illegitimate president”…suggesting in a 2019 CBS News interview that he knew he had stolen the 2016 election.

When asked about whether it angered her that Trump supporters shouted “lock her up” chants at rallies, the Former Secretary of State told CBS, “No, it doesn’t kill me because he knows he’s an illegitimate president.” She continued, saying, “I believe he understands that the many varying tactics they used, from voter suppression and voter purging to hacking to the false stories–he knows that–there were just a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out like it did.”

Former President Jimmy Carter said something similar in June of 2019 when he suggested that, in his view, Trump lost the 2016 election and was put in office by the Russians.

As such, is it any wonder we are left with too many Americans that don’t trust the results on the other side? These doubts about our election process began in 2016 and are continuing today. Simply put: it’s a mess.

GOP Senators, Led by Cruz, Demand Answers

Now, a group of Republican senators led by veteran lawmaker Ted Cruz said Saturday that they will challenge Electoral College on January 6. These senators would like a special commission to conduct an “emergency 10-day audit” of the election results to give the American people a final answer on what really went on.

It seems Americans will be left asking too many questions.
