“I just went out for a test …Â it will come back later I guess, and the first lady also because we spend a lot of time with Hope [Hicks],” Trump said in an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News on Thursday.
Trump also tweeted about the situation and the decision that both he and First Lady would be starting the process of quarantine.
Hope Hicks has traveled with the President multiple times recently, including the first presidential debate in Cleveland on Tuesday. Is not clear who else from Trump’s closest advisers where in close proximity to Hicks and would be quarantined.
“Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible!” wrote the President. “The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”
