The New York democratic-socialist representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez described the Biden administration handling of the border crisis as “completely inhuman and unacceptable, horrifying conditions.”
‘As we’ve seen there are arrivals and undocumented children – rather unaccompanied children that have come at the border and this had lead to completely inhuman and unacceptable, horrifying conditions of children in CBP [Customs and Border Protection] custody. And it’s unacceptable and it’s horrifying,’ Ocasio-Cortez said during a virtual town hall on Wednesday.
At one point she also claimed that families who were separated during Trump’s presidency are ‘owed reparations Period.’ Ocasio-Cortez did not elaborate on that.
