Taxpayers will have an extra month to file taxes this year. The IRS said Wednesday that it would push back the deadline to file from April 15 to May 15.
Meanwhile because May 15 is a Saturday, tax filers may actually have until the following Monday.
The extension comes on the heels of an additional extension for victims of the winter storms in Texas. Late last month, the IRS announced that those that had suffered from the storms in Texas would have until June 15, 2021 to file taxes.
