“Who should the American people listen to, you or the president?” Wolf Blitzer, pressed Dr. Anthony Fauci on CNN’s “The Situation Room.”
Blitzer was referring to President Trump’s recent rally where he told his supporters “that we’re rounding the corner in terms of this virus.”
“But in a rare move, you say you disagree with that comment when it comes to discrepancies like this,” asked Blitzer.
“I don’t want to answer me or the president, I say look at the data,” responded Fauci.
“The data speak for themselves. You don’t have to listen to any individual if the data tells us that we’re still getting up to 40000 new infections a day and a thousand deaths. That’s what you look at. Look at the science, the evidence, and the data. And you could make a pretty easy conclusion.”
