Lawmakers reached an agreement Sunday evening on a nearly $1 Trillion coronavirus relief package.
The new stimulus bill will provide $600 in a direct payment to many Americans, as well as an additional $300 a week in federal unemployment benefits to those Americans still looking for a job.
The direct payments of $600 for every adult and $600 for each child, will be income dependent and will grow smaller for Americans with more than $75,000 in income. The income barrier for couples is $150,000.
Meanwhile, the House also passed a 24-hour extension of government thereby setting up votes on both the relief agreement and broader spending bill for Monday.
