Former Attorney General Bill Barr blasted former president Donald Trump in his new book.
Barr divulged details of conversations with Trump and made clear he wants a different Republican nominee in 2024.
“The election was not ‘stolen,'” Barr writes in the book, first reported by the Wall Street Journal. “Trump lost it.”
“The absurd lengths to which he took his ‘stolen election’ claim led to the rioting on Capitol Hill,” he added.
The news comes after Trump all but announced his presidential bid at the Conservative Political Action Conference over the weekend.
“You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together and they would not have done the damage that Joe Biden and his Administration has done in just a very short 13 months,” Trump said.
